ESME (Egyptian Society of Materials Engineers)
ESME is a student activity and non-profit organization whose primary goal is to fill the gap between the university stage and the labor market and to qualify students for the post-graduation stage.
ESME is the first scientific society oriented to Metallurgical and Materials Engineering students in Egypt and north Africa region.
ESME was founded in 2009 at the faculty of petroleum and mining engineering, Suez university.
ESME also has another 2 branches in Cairo and al-Azhar university to help the students of material Engineering department there.
Our Vision
ESME is dedicated to qualifying material engineering students to suffice the job market with professional fresh graduates who can bridge the gap between real science & technology opportunities in the fields of QA/QC engineering, material engineering, corrosion engineering, welding, steel making, metal processing and industrial safety.
We take responsibility for building our members’ character by both improving their soft skills ang enhance their technical knowledge.
Our belief in leadership skills for engineers is firm. Simply leadership is the only way to fulfill prosperous careers, so we build leaders and actuators who can change reality with their teams.
We are dedicated to simplifying science in general and specifically material science as one of the most important fields participating in technological evolution nowadays.
Our Mission
Material engineering is made much simpler through our intensive workshops on academic subjects held for all students besides general seminars, which weave their acquaintance in their post-graduate work fields.
Science and technology are linked through periodic field and yard trips to industrial foundations involving the fields of QA/QC engineering, material engineering, corrosion engineering, welding, steel making, metal processing and Industrial Safety.
We should not forget that an engineer must gain more than technical knowledge.
Personal development comes as our top priorities: ESME adds to members' character by practicing teamwork, organizing their time, developing their talents and potentials and giving them the experience of decision making.
